Trio concerto – BNO!
28.11.2019 – Technopark Pomerania, budynek F2, Sala Castanea, Szczecin
Cykl BNO+ Free entrance
Horn / French horn – an instrument associated mainly with hunting – rarely appears in chamber compositions. The concerto trio that will take place as part of the BNO + cycle will be one of the few opportunities to listen to it. The trio will feature Emanuel Salvador, BNO concert master with French horn player Salvador Navarro and pianist Elena Nogaeva. The program will include, among others, the beautiful composition of Johannes Brahms – French Horn Trio in E flat major. The main theme of this work was composed by Brahms several years before its publication. It wasn’t until years later that he used it and based it on the French horn trio, which in 1865 was published and devoted to the death of the composer’s mother. The horn will also be heard in the compositions of two romantics, Oscar Franz and Franz Strauss. Both were composers, but also French horn players, who refined their works taking into account the technical capabilities of this instrument. The program will be complemented by the composition of Camille Saint-Saens, an outstanding pianist who composed a virtuoso, spectacular song that he dedicated to Pablo Sarasate. Lyrical but feisty – this will be the evening with Trio Concerto.
