Baltic Neopolis Festival is a versatile initiative located in the basin of the Baltic Sea, and in 2019 it will take place for the 5th time. The festival envisages cooperation of musicians from all over the world, with a particular engagement of the Baltic countries. Thanks to the initiatives planned as part of the festival, it is possible to invite a multitude of young and talented artists to Szczecin and the West Pomeranian Voivodship, as well as a wide array of renowned musicians, professors and composers. The concept for the Festival consists of the organisation of 13 concerts involving international musicians, such as concertmaster of Covent Garden Opera House in London, violinist Vasko Vassilev, the Bolshoi Theatre singer Yevgeni Vasilchuk, or musicians hailing from the Spanish group Chambao, the Flamenco Chill star. Aside from the stars’ concerts, it is also planned for events involving chamber musician groups, Baltic Neopolis Orchestra residence for the duration of the entire Festival, performances of Baltic Neopolis Virtuosi, workshops and musical animations for children, as well as unique activities in the city area, and an array of additional, innovative promotional activities in Poland and the partnered countries. Baltic Neopolis Orchestra wants to send 13 postcards to the listeners from differentcorners of our region: oversea resorts, rustic walls of the church or an unconventional beach created in the city centre. The postcards will be able to be collected in Szczecin, Wolin, Gryfino, Złocieniec, Świnoujście, Międzyzdroje or Kołobrzeg.
